Why Champion Builders Center?
When God stirred my heart to homeschool my children, I had no idea of how it would be used to shape, not only the lives of my children, but mine as well. My desire for homeschooling was so that I could educate my children in the Word of God. I wanted them to know the Truth and be free. I didn’t want them conformed to what the world says about them. As my kids got a little older, I wanted to grab all their friends and share this good news with them, too! I realized that God had given me a heart to train up the next generation.
The only way to break the conformity of the world is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be educated in the Word and ways of God. Once that occurs, people are free to pursue who they were created to be. When we are all living out our call, then society can be reformed and the Kingdom can be built, making a place for Jesus to reign as King. This kind of training is for everyone who wants it, young or old.
This is the heart of Champion Builders Center. If you share this same desire, I hope that we can connect, encourage one another, and build together. We all have a part to play in this great work as we prepare to welcome our King Jesus!
Meet Laura Judah
Laura Judah is a teacher, author and intercessor, in addition to being a full-time homeschooling mom. She serves as part-time staff at Heart of Texas House of Prayer and as the Chairperson of One-to-One Homeschool Support, a non-profit organization that supports One Day Academy. She is currently working on a new curriculum for high school students called The Kingdom Entrepreneur. Her first published book is God’s Fall Feasts.
Growing up in the Midwest, Laura graduated from DePaul University with an MBA and a BS in Computer Science and Finance. She worked as a software developer, project manager and then as a manager of a large business and technical team providing software, documentation and implementation to locations throughout the United States. After working in the corporate world for over 20 years, she left to serve as a missionary pre-school teacher in South Africa.
Seeing the hunger in the young generation, Laura’s discovered her passion to train them up to know Jesus and seek His heart. Once her own children were born, she began homeschooling and seeking ways to plant the Word of God in their hearts. This process brought out her teaching gift and stirred her to begin developing Bible-based curriculum. She has written several unit study guides to assist homeschooling parents in teaching their young children about loving God. After holding bible study and prayer meetings for kids in her home for several years, she served as Director of the Children’s Equipping Center at Heart of Texas House of Prayer for three years. Realizing that building the Kingdom of God must begin in the family, Laura also has a strong desire to help families learn how to make Jesus the center of their home. To this end, she prays, teaches and writes to unlock the mysteries of God’s Word that have been kept hidden but are now to be revealed to the end-times generation.
She lives in the countryside of Austin, TX, raising, not only her two teenage children, but a flock of chickens and other furry creatures.
