Reform

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

Most people are pretty familiar with this verse, but many have not comprehended just how big this statement really is.  God doesn’t save us so we can wait till we get to heaven to experience “eternal life.”  Eternal Life begins now, it is the life-force of God that enters a person when they receive the gift of salvation.  The Holy Spirit takes up residence on the inside of us and makes us new.  As we pursue knowing God, we receive more and more of the benefits of our salvation through Jesus Christ.  We come to understand that Jesus on the inside of us makes it possible for us to do things we never thought we could do.  He delivers us from all kinds of things that have held back the “true you” from coming forth. When that begins to happen, we begin to fulfill the purpose for which we were created.

God sends us out into the dark world around us so that we can shine forth His Light.  We represent Jesus, going through our days, blessing, healing, comforting, and providing for those that don’t yet know what’s available to them.  We are called to be reformers in every sphere of society.  Simply put, this is the concept of reforming the 7 mountains of society.   Not all are called to be ministers in a church.  There are apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors and evangelists in all the mountains of society: in business and education, in government, entertainment and media; the rest are in the family or religion mountains.  God wants to touch everyone, everywhere.  His structure was never meant to be contained in a church building.  He is the King of His Kingdom and we are His kings and priests, made to rule and reign with Him.  He wants to spread His good news and see it lived out in life every day.  The reason the church has been highly unsuccessful in its mission is because it adopted a separatist attitude, thinking that, as Christians, we were to disengage from society and build our own little bubble to live in.  God is breaking off that thinking now and showing us how very wrong we have been.  When we withdraw the Light from the world, we end up in the dark, utter darkness, just like we see all around us now.  We have a lot of unlearning to do before we can fully embrace “the mind of Christ.”  He doesn’t think like we do!  We see bad things happening all around us and they look pretty scary, but God is fully in control and only desires to draw us back to His original intent.  He is merciful, kind and loving.  He is doing all that needs to be done, in the least painful way, to bring us back to Himself.  We must trust Him in this and move forward in faith.

Our desire at Champion Builders is first to help every person understand Who God is and Who they are because of Him.  Second, it is to equip them with the tools necessary to be fully confident in who they are and to activate the gifts God has given them to complete their call in life. Once those things are in place, we desire to see them launched out into their sphere of society to live out their destiny.  This is what it means to build the Kingdom of God, each person doing what they were created to do in community with others that are doing the same.  We build Jesus a throne in our midst by lifting Him up and doing the things that are on His heart.  We cannot succeed in this apart from Him or apart from each other.  We rely on the leading of the Holy Spirit and the Love of God inside of us to guide all of our activities.

This page will be filled with encouragement for each person as they seek to bring reformation in their sphere of influence.

REFORMATION MANIFESTO 2017

Just as Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of Castle Church in Wittenburg, Germany on October 31, 1517 as the beginning of the Protestant Reformation, so are we being called today to declare REFORMATION to our nations and cultures.  Essentially, we are up against the same things that Martin Luther was coming against in his day.  All of society has been infiltrated by ungodly motivations and ways.  We are here to prepare the way for the coming of our King Jesus.  We want to make our place on earth a welcoming place for Him, that He comes to dwells among us, not just stop in for a visit.

Let us take to heart the words of this Manifesto and find our place in the process of reformation!
